Old case files will be reviewed over the next six months to “identify investigative gaps or omissions” and assess whether past CPS investigations complied with federal law that protects students from gender-based discrimination and from abuse and harassment that interfere with schooling.
Those reports could have a broad impact. They could identify trends and past failures. The review could also uncover people who might still threaten student safety or victims who need support.
