Doctor Sued Multiple Times for Malpractice is Still Practicing Medicine in Illinois

Recently, the Chicago Tribune reported on the case of Dr. Nicholas Caro.  According to the Tribune, Dr. Caro has been sued for medical malpractice almost 50 times in Cook County since the early 1990s and plaintiffs have been successful in at least some of these cases.  Over the years, Dr. Caro has also been investigated by the federal authorities.  In the late 1990s he was found to have been using equipment that was unapproved by the FDA.

The medical malpractice cases brought by individual patients against Dr. Caro have provided financial compensation to the victims and gained the attention of the state.  The Illinois Chief Medical Prosecutor has recommended that Dr. Caro’s license be revoked at least in part because of the numerous times that he has been found guilty of medical malpractice.  If those patients who filed medical malpractice lawsuits had remained silent then they would never have recovered damages for their injuries nor would they have been able to protect future patients from harm.

Illinois medical malpractice attorneys know the harm that can be caused by doctors who commit malpractice and seek to help medical malpractice victims with their recovery.  If you have been hurt by Dr. Caro or any other Illinois doctor then do not hesitate to contact a Chicago medical malpractice lawyer who can advise you about your rights.
