January 1, 2017 brings an expansion to the Victims’ Economic Security and Safety Act

The Act requires employers to provide unpaid time off to any employee who is a victim of domestic violence or whose family or household member is a victim of domestic violence. The Act has been amended to all employers in Illinois.
